Hot Stick Operable Aluminum Trunnion Clamps
For Line Post Insulators

These clamps provide features which ill generally speed installation time and reduce the number of clamp sizes and variations needed to meet typical construction practices.  Each clamp accommodates a wide range of conductor sizes without reversing the clamping jaw.  they can be used for tangent suspension and shallow turn angles.

A unique captive bolt and pressure jaw assembly causes ALPS clamps to open automatically as the bolt is loosened.  This feature leaves both hands free to toll the conductor over the clamp edge and into the groove seat.  It also leaves one hand free to hold the conductor in place if needed while the bolt is tightened.  Bolt and pressure jaw are captive to the clamp body to prevent loose parts.  Opposing finger type guides align the body and jaw with the bolt to provide optimum clamping pressure.

Clamp body and jaw are high strength heat treated 356-T6 aluminum.  bolt and washer are stainless steel and bolt retainer is zinc plated steel.

Anti-Static Spring
All trunnion clamps are provided with a stainless steel anti-static spring in one of the trunnion holes.
